This project belongs to the following programs: Studies and policies on youth, education and gender: violence and resistances

Considering the importance of analyses that explain the macro situations involving violence in the school environment, this research aimed to understand the mechanisms that schools develop to improve the school climate, creatively addressing situations related to violence, from the perspective of their own members. It involved creating the foundations of a school that is aware of violence as a phenomenon that is socially constructed and, therefore, can be prevented. Through focus groups and interviews, the daily life of schools was analyzed in its aspects related to school violence and its possible solutions. Based on the discourse of the participants, we proposed a dialogue with the theoretical framework and guidance on possibilities for problem-solving. The results were systematized into didactic material published at the end of the project.
