Discriminadas no mercado de trabalho, as mulheres negras tiveram uma série de avanços educacionais e são hoje o grupo mais numeroso das instituições de ensino superior públicas, mostram levantamentos recentes.
Análise dos dados da Pnad (Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domicílios) Contínua Anual feita pelos economistas Ana Luiza Matos de Oliveira, professora da Flacso Brasil, e Arthur Welle, doutorando na Unicamp, mostra que elas eram 27% dos estudantes do ensino superior público em 2019, ano da edição da pesquisa com divulgação mais recente.
Foram consideradas no cálculo as mulheres autodeclaradas pretas e pardas.
