A última terça-feira (15) foi de debates na 18ª Cúpula Social do Mercosul, que tem como tema “Avançar no Mercosul com mais Integração, mais Direitos e mais Participação”, em Brasília. Representantes do governo e da sociedade civil de Argentina, Bolívia, Brasil, Paraguai, Uruguai e Venezuela participaram de painéis nos três eixos que dão nome ao evento. Essa semana, entre os dias 12 e 14 de julho, a Comunidade dos Rabelados em Espinho Branco, em Cabo Verde, recebeu a 1ª Oficina da Universidade Popular dos Movimentos Sociais (UPMS) no país. O ponto central do evento foi a educação, tema de relevância histórica para o desenvolvimento no país, que comemora este ano 40 anos de independência .
