The Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO Brazil), in partnership with the Organization of Ibero-American States (OEI) and the Municipal Secretariat of Youth of Rio de Janeiro, presents the book “Vulnerabilities and Resistances Among Brazilian Youth in Contexts of Inequality.” The work compiles the results of research analyzing the experiences of young people in the states of Rio de Janeiro, Piau\u00ed, and S\u00e3o Paulo, in a context marked by social inequalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The research was conducted by Miriam Abramovay, coordinator of the Studies and Policies on Youth, Education and Gender: Violence and Resistance program, and included the participation of researchers linked to this FLACSO Brazil program. The study addresses the multiple dimensions of vulnerabilities that permeate the lives of Brazilian youth, considering aspects such as territory, socioeconomic conditions, race, gender, and the recent impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic. At the same time, it highlights the forms of resistance built by young people in their daily lives, emphasizing strategies, expectations, and perspectives that contribute to understanding their trajectories and challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
